The HR Officer will be responsible for providing support and guidance on talent acquisition across the Australian and Japan entities and provides consultancy advice on people related matters to all levels of our team.
This role will be part of the global HR team and will contribute to the development and implementation of key HR projects as part of the People strategic plan and provide support in the implementation of ‘People Processes’ as required.

Encourage and manage engagement with Sofico staff through building strong relationships and driving a high-performance culture.
Represents and executes on global people initiative’s within APAC.
Lead the end to end talent acquisition process which may include shortlisting candidates, phone screening, interviewing, arranging testing and reference checking, in line with global procedures.
Manage the requisition process to ensure that all recruitment activity and internal movement has Executive level approval from the outset.
Support the business in the acquisition of high quality ‘culture fit’ candidates through internal and external sources.
Supporting and coaching on interview best practice through on the job coaching and/or the delivery of workshops and training modules.
Manage and optimize the use of our Candidate Management System.
Providing accurate Human Resources reporting on all people matters.
Analysis and interpretation of human resources data to drive organisational effectiveness.
Employee Relations / Legislation / Lifecycle Milestones
Develop and implement Policies and procedures to ensure Sofico meets all its legal obligations.
Review and audit the application of the Employee Handbook Policies and Procedures to ensure we behave consistently in a fair and equitable manner.
Ensure legal and compliance obligations are adhered to, achieving positive outcomes for the business, our team members and potential team members and our customers.
Monitor Australia and Japan payroll information to ensure accuracy.
Verify timekeeping records and consult employees about any discrepancies.
Process and maintain the monthly end-end payroll function for Australia.
Process and administer superannuation payments, payroll tax and other payments on a monthly basis.
