About the job

Your main responsibilities will be

Do you love working with web technologies and you have experience with Java Server Faces? Then this might be the position for you.

You would work on Miles Web, the proven stack of web applications that provide Miles Front-office functionalities to external users like fleet managers, drivers, dealers, etc.

You’ll either work on improving the current application, developing new functionalities, or implementing the solution for one of the customers.

You are not just a software engineer who dives into the code, you also get excited when it comes to making analysis, both functional and technical.

You’re comfortable when dealing with customers and always give them the best solution possible.

Of course, you don’t work alone but will be part of a dedicated multi-disciplinary team.

Your interests and skills

You have a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Informatics, or an equivalent degree.

You are passionate about building state-of-the-art web front-end applications and you have some experience or interest in other current technologies.

Since Sofico is an international company, being fluent in English is important. A good level of Dutch is a plus because most of your colleagues are Belgian.

Most importantly is that you have experience with Java and Java Server Faces. It’s a plus if you have worked with PrimeFaces.

But you might be interested in the extended technology stack: Java JEE (8-11), JSF, Java Eclipse Microprofile, Angular, Quarkus, Junit, SQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Bamboo, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Helm Charts, Git,
