Project Manager Microservices

Full-Time | Zwijnaarde, BE | Project management

What the job is about

This new role is a result of changing architecture and some restructuring of the internal processes, which led to more planning needs and follow-up work for this team. So if you like planning and organizing, are looking for a customer-facing role and have a solid technical background, then this might be the project manager role for you.

You will follow up on multiple projects within the technical workstream for the new and existing customers.

You’ll be their first point of contact regarding their needs, requests, and issues f.e. installation requests, technical consulting questions, help in performance investigations, etc. You then take the information back to the team for further discussion and based on that, work out the internal planning and make sure that the team sticks to this planning will also be one of your responsibilities.

This means you:

  • Have responsibility for following-up scope, time, and cost for this technical workstream

  • Structure the work, depending on the priorities across all projects

  • Ensure collaboration between the team and the customer

  • Participate in customer as well in internal project and status meetings

You’ll be part of our Product Quality and Compliance team. This might not say much, but you will work closely with the DevOps and Application Engineers. With new implementation projects, you’ll also work closely with the project manager who oversees the full project.

Your Interest and Skills

Your interpersonal skills will come in handy when dealing with difficult situations. You understand that every situation is different, and it will need a tailored approach. You want to form a close relationship with your customer and can guide them to a solution that works for all parties involved.

With all this, your communication skills will need to be on point, both orally and in writing. You will need to communicate clearly, concisely and proactively, not only to the customer but also internally to your team.

Organizing and scheduling come naturally to you.  You have no problem keeping the team on track across the different responsibilities and projects.

What else is expected:

  • Several years experience in project coordination and project methodologies (Scrum/agile)

  • High-level technical understanding of Microservices, Application Servers, Cloud technologies, etc.

  • Being fluent in Dutch and English, any other language is a plus.
