Solution Architect

What the job is about?

As a Solution Architect, you will be involved with the architecture of our software solution ‘Miles’. It currently encompasses 2 parts:

The ‘Core’ ERP software for automotive finance, leasing, fleet, and mobility management. This end-to-end solution encompasses -, mid- and back-office functions that can be extensively customized to the customers’ needs through configuration and custom development.

The complementary ‘Microservices platform’ with extra functionalities and portals that interacts with the core ERP software.

On the one hand, you will be part of the architecture community making recommendations, and strategic and tactical decisions in next-generation architecture. On the other hand, you will be part of our UK team giving architecture consulting to UK customers.

This means you will:

• Analyze client requirements and create technical designs for the Software Engineers.

• Advise clients on how the Core and Microservices platform fits into their broader IT architecture.

• Play a significant role in the evolution of Sofico’s market offering(s).

Your Interests and Skiils

It is important that you can communicate clearly and concisely, and that you can explain technical topics in a way that non-techies can also understand.

Besides that, you will need to engage with and convince senior stakeholders both within Sofico as well at with the customers.

You are creative in devising solutions for different customer situations and platforms. And capable of offering alternative approaches and paths to success.

Finally, working effectively within a complex multi-disciplinary team with business users, consultants, software engineers, DevOps engineers, etc. comes easy to you.

What else is expected:

• Several years of experience in software architecture.

• Knowledge of domain-driven design

• Knowledge or understanding of the following technologies and their impact on architecture is a plus:

o   Kafka, Kubernetes, Quarkus, HVR, OpenID Connect, data streaming

• Affinity with cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS
