What the job is about

Are you looking for a role where you can combine your technical skills with your writing skills? For our head office in Zwijnaarde we are looking for a technical writer, experienced in writing software documentation.

You write, review and maintain a wide variety of technical documents related to our software. You keep documentation and training materials up to date for colleagues and customers.

You strive for continuous improvement, you will work in close collaboration with subject matter experts and the software engineering teams to gather knowledge and information.

You take ownership of your documentation and align proactively with the relevant stakeholders.

Understanding our customers: you get to know our customers and learn to see things from their perspective. You can differentiate between audiences, such as technical consultants, key- and end-users.

Understanding our technology: you will get to know our software and our solutions. You are eager to learn and are not afraid to ask questions.

Your skills and interests

You can write clear, concise and user-friendly documentation. The core job is to study complicated things and explain them in a brief and well-structured way. Some talent in showing ideas graphically is a plus.

Experience in the creation of e-learning course material and/or working with blended learning tooling is a plus.

You have professional writing skills in English. Proficiency in other languages such as Dutch, French or German is a plus.

You have excellent communication skills and value a good team spirit.

You are analytical and can work accurately and independently.

You are familiar with the ins and outs of software development and technical concepts such as API, SDLC, software architecture, Javadoc, … You have a broad interest that crosses the boundaries of technical and business.

Understanding the basics of a programming language such as Java is a plus.
