Hey, you! We are trying to grab your attention by this line right here. Is it working yet? No? Almost? We should probably let the role talk for itself. Let’s go!
As a BU manager, you are responsible for the customers, within a defined region, on one side, and for the colleagues within the unit on the other side.
When it comes to the customers, you ensure the following activities are planned, staffed, and performed: prospection & presales, implementation projects, supporting live customers, developing customer & core enhancements, and account management.
This means you will:
Develop and execute a Unit Business plan.
Be involved in negotiations with customers and partners.
Guard the budget of the unit.
Follow-up on customer satisfaction.
For the colleagues, you are the spokesperson for the organization’s strategy and goals. But also work closely together with HR to attract and develop the right talents for the Unit.
This means you will:
Establish unit goals and cascade these into teams and individual goals.
Create and discuss the resource planning with HR.
Are involved with the selection and recruitment process.
Follow-up on job rotations.
Last but not least, you are also the country representative and will be involved in all the practical aspects of managing the office, from extra infrastructure needs like offices spaces or electrical charging points to creating a fun work atmosphere.
The Unit NL, for which you will be responsible has active projects within the Netherlands and Scandinavia. With around 40 employees divided between the office in Houten (NL) and Ghent (BE) in different positions from business consultants, developers, testers, and many more.
You are a people manager with a focus on autonomy, this means you encourage initiatives, unit members taking up responsibilities and create an environment of self-managed teams.
Your interpersonal skills will come in handy when building relationships with both customers and colleagues. You understand that every situation, colleague, and customer is different and needs a tailored approach.
You plan long-term strategies, but also make them concrete enough so that members have a clear view of where the team and organization are heading and their personal contribution.
What else is expected:
Experience as a business consultant, developer, project/program manager within software implementation
Experience managing a middle-large to large team
Fluent in both Dutch and English
Knowledge of the leasing/ mobility sector is a plus
