Senior UX Researcher

Full-Time | Zwijnaarde, BE | Quality Management

About the job

What the job is about

The first steps are taken to create a space for design and a human-centered approach within Sofico. If you want to have a key role in the further development of this approach, then look no further.

You will organize, lead and recommend user research to discover opportunities and/or validate assumptions. To do this, you will need to engage with internal and external stakeholders, drive buy-in and be a true advocate for user research.

This means you’ll:

  • Guide the creation and execution of short-term and long-term research plans.

  • Analyze, document, and communicate findings, recommendations, and artifacts with the various stakeholders.

  • Participate in discussions and activities related to current research projects.

  • Evaluate and map the design, industry, and market trends to the internal vision.

On the one side, there is an Enterprise product with a long history. But on the other side, the new developments are products in the B2B2C context. You will share your expertise in both contexts.

The internal stakeholders that you will engage with are first and foremost the UX Lead. Besides that, you’ll also work closely with product managers and business consultants.

Your skills and interests

Communication, both verbally and written, is very important. You’ll be in contact with various stakeholder groups who will each require a different approach.

Curiosity to learn more about emerging design, technology, industry, and market trends. Exploring all ideas, regardless of their source.

  • Highly experienced in Agile & Lean UX methodologies.

  • Experience in user-centered design process.

  • Experience conducting qualitative and quantitative research activities such as ethnographic studies and usability studies.

  • Open to travel.

What we offer

The opportunity to work in the Head Office of a company that has been in business for over 30 years and is doubling in size every 5 years. Even with this growth, we have an informal environment in which you call Gémar, the CEO, by his first name.

An extensive onboarding program for you to become familiar with the product and the organization. Included is a job coach, who will be your close mentor during these first months.

Of course, an attractive salary package based on your knowledge and experience, with a company car and fuel car, and other extra-legal benefits.

You’ll work in a modern office which is easily accessible. If you come by electric car or bike, we offer safe charging stations, and you can even use our free shared bikes to fetch lunch!

Can’t forget to mention the flexible working hours and possibilities when it comes to working from home, but a 100% remote is not possible.

Coffee, tea, water, and soft drinks are available at the office. And in a normal situation, there are occasional after works drinks, a BBQ in the summer, and lots of other fun team events.

When applying, please add your portfolio.
