UX/UI Product Designer

About the job

Your main responsibilities will be

  • Organize user research and define requirements in collaboration with customers and end-users.
  • Work with internal partners to gather insights around use cases, business needs, success metrics, and product interdependencies.
  • Transform business problems into user experience opportunities, ultimately designing, testing and launching usable, useful and delightful solutions.
  • Create high-fidelity mock-ups and design prototypes for new and existing web and mobile products.
  • Bring a systemic point of view to problem solving, yet know how to isolate specific design issues and opportunities.
  • Setup and maintain a design system, define components, style standards for graphical elements such as icons, fonts, colors and images
  • Advise and collaborate with the front-end developers to deliver the best user experience possible. Support and mentor designers in local teams.

Your interests and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred
  • Proven relevant experience in a UX/UI Product Designer position.
  • Fluent English is needed, a certain level of Dutch is a plus
  • A portfolio that demonstrates the ability to create products that are as easy to use as they are beautiful.

  • Experience with entire product design lifecycle.
  • Extensive knowledge in product design including information design, typography, color, composition, flows and UI specifications. Beautifully crafted data visualization skills, knowledge or experience is a plus. 
  • Fluent in Figma or similar tools such as Sketch, InVision etc. Figma is the main UI design & collaboration tool used within the company.
  • Knowledge and affinity with software development, CSS & HTML
  • Well versed in responsive web and native mobile standards & remain up to date with latest technologies and developments regarding UX & UI design.
  • Experience with user research and usability testing methods.
  • Familiar with design thinking, user journey, story boarding.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to present ideas to various audiences.
  • Ability to share knowledge and expertise within the company.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate closely within a team.
  • Ability to working in an agile team environment.
  • Actively look for opportunities to improve products and working methods with respect to UX/UI.
